Projects

Fiskars Localhistory Society prepares for the future by different developing projects. The project “opp-i-bruke II” tries to expand and increase the the comfort on the museum area. In the shed we hope to build a new exhibition room for big objects. The bakery and mangel room has since 2007 been used for educational purposes. At the moment we offer timetravels for children. The children travel back to the 19th Century and get to do tasks common in that time. Timetravel is a fun and easy way to learn about Fiskars history.

The project continues in 2008.

The museum´s digitalizing-project was started in 2003. The project digitalizes the collective memory of the area. Images, objects and audio material is looked over and digitalized so that it would be available for researchers and others who are interested in the museums collections. In the future we hope that we have the possibility to show some of the material on the internet.
