Renovations and repairments

When the hall was built it was provided with electricity. Through the years the buildning has gone through different renovation and repair stages. In 1920 the wall logs were looked over and the hall was painted in colorful red and blue shades.

In 1938 the buildning was provided with water, sewage and central heating. At this time the hall was painted in more modest colours. The guest room on the south side was replaced with a cafeteria and kitchen. Behind the stage two artist dressing rooms were also built. The famous paintings of Lennart Segerstråle were unvieled on December 14th 1938.

In 1947 the hall was provided with a complete cinema machinery and films were shown regulary until the late 1970’s. In 1970 the stageopening was enlarged and the janitor's apartment was modernized.

The present color of the building was painted in 1983. Segerstråle’s paintings were restorated before the 100 year anniversary in 1995 at the same time as the colors of the hall was renewed, the lighting was improved, new sanitary rooms were built and the kitchen and cafeteria was renovated.

The Assembly hall is an impressive buildning in the revival style from 1896.
