Fiskars Localhistory Society

Fiskars Localhistory Society was founded in 1940 by clerk Laura Holmström and midwife Gerda Gers. Their objective was to collect and exhibit objects made in the Pohja area, old association material, pictures, memories and recollections but also to preserve the iron works milieu. The Society has maintained Fiskars museum since 1949, the Pohja Localhistory Archive since 1991 and The Assembly Hall since 1978.
